Car of the Year is exactly what it sounds like, we’re on the hunt for the best modified cars the UK tuning scene has to offer.
It doesn’t matter if it's a track day beast, a low riding ICE mobile or full on drag racer for the road; we want unique, we want style, we want performance and we want originality! The competition is open to owners themselves, tuning companies can enter but only through the cars owner, sponsorship livery is no problem.
The judging criteria is based on four central themes:
- Attention to detail
- Style
- Engineering skill
- Performance (can be power, handling, ICE)
The judges (made up of both industry professionals and journalists) are looking for the best all round tuned car. If it's performance themed then we want quick; if it's style themed then it needs to be something special (the quickest/fastest won't necessarily win). We’re looking for the complete car, if that happens to be a low riding batmobile then so be it!
To enter simply write us an email in NO MORE than ONE HUNDRED AND FIFTY WORDS, stating why you thing your car is the Car Of The Year. You will need to be quite specific on the list of modifications you car has. Send this together with as many decent photographs as you can attached to the email to: caroftheyear@ultimatecartuning.tv
The top 25 will be selected by the judges and invited to a UK circuit where the cars will be judged and driven both on the road and the track. Don’t worry, only qualified professional drivers will be involved, all will be insured when being tested and you get to come along for the ride to make sure we treat your pride and joy right! The top 25 will feature throughout the series and participate in the grand finale where you’ll be treated to a great day out as well as the chance to be crowned “Ultimate Car Tuner Car of the Year”. As well as the accolade of the award the prize fund is generous, think ‘The Gadget Show’ and you’ll get an idea...toys toys and more toys, as well as a trophy the size of a planet!
It doesn’t matter its if a BMW, Audi, Vauxhall, Nissan, Evo or whatever. It doesn’t need to be new either. All we ask is that it just needs to be the best you can offer, so get entering!
